Are you passionate about French Cuisine, Desserts and Croissants ? If so, we want you to be a part of our vibrant team at Parfait Paris in San Diego CA! As an area manager you will be overseeing three small location; Del Mar Skydeck, UTC and La Jolla Village. We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and serious Area Manager to help us deliver a top-notch experience to our valued customer

Le Parfait is looking for a French Bakery and Pastry shop Area Manager to organize daily operations with their store manager, ensure a positive work environment and make certain each store are meeting their Top Lines goals. Some of other responsibilities include scheduling shifts for staff, monitoring daily expenses and revenues and doing the weekly inventory. To be successful in this role you should have work experience with various roles in coffee/café shops or restaurants. Also, you should be available to work during opening hours, including weekends and holidays.

Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and turn our cafe into a favorite local spot.

Main Responsibilities:

- Warmly welcome and bid farewell to customers

- Ensure your TOP LINES are positive by

  • Controlling inventory, COGS expenses and manage Waste
  • Maintaining a Labor percentage within store goal
  • Make the schedules 
  • Keep an eye on daily labor and take action accordingly with your store managers
  • Maintain positive store sales of at least 5% compare to previous year 
  • Keep your store average ticket within goal 
  • Yelp/Google/yahoo/Square/trip advisor feedback and grade are within 4.5 to 5 stars
  • Third parties website are being used correctly to increase traffic and sales

- Study your stores to always optimize your performance

  • Identify each store strength and weakness and work on weaknesses to turn into strengths
  • Evaluate your store team members; identify their strengths and weaknesses and develop a plan to coach/train them accordingly 
  • Introduce checklist, SOP (standard operating procedure) and structure to each stores. Make sure those are being applied and followed
  • Stay aware of your surrounding by calling hotel occupancy, upcoming events, new competition in your neighborhood. 

- Build and Maintain a positive work environment by;

  • Having all equipment well functioning 
  • Controlling you have enough small equipment
  • Ensure each stores are cleaned and organized through store audits. Implement policies and procedures accordingly 
  • Providing a good flow for the team by studying your store daily operation and employee flow
  • Hiring TOP staff that have a positive attitude, are team oriented and driven by sales.
  • Be part of entire Employee life at le parfait from Onboarding to letting go. 
  • Apply fair corrective action to ensure positive work environment

Other responsibilities:

- Keep a full bank with change/ Train your store manager to go to the bank when needed.

- Audit each drops, take action when drop isn’t filled out properly or missing

money. Go to the bank once a week to bring all the drops

- Train your team on quality standard and keep control of it.

- In case of no show no call, with your store managers find cover and cover if needed. 

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in basic math
  • Work experience as a Cafe/coffee shop manager
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Be reliable, honest and punctual
  • Have hospitality or food service experience
  • High school diploma
  • Additional certification (e.g. in Business Administration or Hospitality, Servsafe manager license) is a plus
