Representing a leading real estate investment and development company, we are proud to be leading the search for an Assistant General Counsel (Transactions). This role will manage acquisitions, dispositions, and complex real estate transactions from start to finish.

This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to influence deal execution, build processes, and drive strategic outcomes. As the Assistant General Counsel, you will be responsible for:

• Drafting, negotiating, and coordinating acquisition and disposition transactions, financings, joint ventures, and development projects from due diligence through close.
• Managing outside counsel and serving as a key liaison among internal teams, senior leadership, and counterparties.
• Reviewing and negotiating contracts with vendors, consultants, and third parties for operational support and ancillary agreements.
• Assisting with corporate governance and compliance matters, ensuring alignment with internal policies and applicable regulations.
• Maintaining and refining deal templates and documentation to reflect current legal and business needs.
• Collaborating across departments to anticipate risk, identify opportunities, and deliver practical solutions.

To be successful in this role our client is looking for a:

• JD from an accredited law school and 3–4 years of experience in the real estate department of a top-tier law firm.
• Hands-on experience managing acquisitions, dispositions, and secured lending transactions; familiarity with joint ventures and development work is a plus.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate legal complexity into actionable guidance.
• Highly organized and adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple matters under tight timelines.
• Collaborative team player with sound judgment and a solutions-oriented mindset.
