Job Description

Our client, a well-known denim brand based in San Francisco, is looking for an Assistant Merchant for a 7 month contract! This role will work a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

Ensure the data-entry integrity and maintenance of seasonal products in product management systems
Oversee sample management and organization for assigned global product categories.
Contribute to some aspects of Product Development activities.
Be the conduit of information, materials and samples to regions and cross-functional teams.
Create line plans and communicate plans with main cross-functional partners.
Assist merchants with preparation for product performance reviews and sell-out reports.
Help with targeted consumer and competitor research through market shopping and fashion publications.
Conduct administrative work for the merchandising team.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising or a related field
2+ years of experience in apparel merchandising
Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PLM
Passion for product and the consumer
