GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill a seasonal Office/Administrative Assistant position within the Trails program and Shoshone district. This position will provide critical administrative support to our staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional visitor service.
* $14-16/hr.
* 40 hrs./week
* 6 month term
* Stationed at Lander Trails office

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed at the job level.
* Provide administrative support to district staff, including scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, and managing travel arrangements.
* Answer phones and emails in a courteous and professional manner, directing inquiries and concerns appropriately.
* Review and process paperwork, including purchasing card reports, travel vouchers, applications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Assist with data entry and maintain accurate park records in a digital database.
* Compile reports and create documents using office software (Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite preferred).
* Maintain office supplies and equipment, ordering and restocking as needed.
* Provide customer service to visitors, answering questions, offering assistance, and issuing permits where applicable.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and Shoshone district manager.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred.
KNOWLEDGE:
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive and professional attitude.

Necessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Some travel within the Shoshone District (Rawlins, South Pass City, Evanston, Fort Bridger) may be required.
NOTES:
* FLSA: Non-Exempt
* This is an hourly position. We pay on the last working day of the month.
* Housing is not provided.
* You are eligible for Insurance Benefits on the first day of your fourth month of employment.
