Job Title: BIM Coordinator

Location: Plaistow, NH (5 days per week on-site)

Pay Range: $31-43/hour (6 month contract to hire)

Must-Haves:

• 2+ years of experience with 3D modeling in Revit
• Experience drafting electrical drawings in a construction environment
• MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) background - Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction practices
• Motivated, go-getter, and ready to learn/grow

Plusses:

• Proficiency in Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
• Familiarity with Revizto or BIMTrack for model collaboration and issue tracking.
• Knowledge of Trimble or Point Layout Tools for accurate layout and positioning.
• Experience with BIM 360 for project management and collaboration.
• Candidates with any of the following will be given top priority:
• Electrical Journeyman License
• Drafting Degree or Certificates

Day to Day:

An industry-leading Design/Build Electrical Contracting client is looking for an Electrical BIM Coordinator to join their team based out of Plaistow, NH. This client has been in business for over 50 years, has almost 300 employees, and primarily supports the Life Science, Healthcare, Commercial, and Industrial markets. They are a family-owned business and has grown into a multi-million-dollar organization. Through hard work and determination, they’ve become the largest service department in New England and the only contracting company that supports every wiring category within a commercial/industrial building space.

As an Electrical BIM Coordinator, you will work closely under the guidance of the Senior VDC Modeler, mainly responsible for supporting the VDC (Virtual Design & Construction) team in the creation of 3D models, coordination, and documentation for electrical construction projects. You must ensure the models are accurate, clash-free, and optimized for construction.

Primary Responsibilities:

• 3D Modeling and Coordination: Develop and maintain detailed 3D models for electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Perform clash detection using Navisworks and assist in resolving any conflicts.
• Documentation Support: Creation of electrical design-build documents and prefabrication drawings. Ensure all documentation aligns with company standards and project specifications.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the VDC team, Project Managers, and Field Supervisors to ensure seamless communication and implementation of VDC models in the field. Attend coordination meetings and provide input on model-related issues.
• Software Utilization: Utilize software such as Navisworks, Revizto, BIMTrack, BIM 360 to develop models, track issues, and collaborate with team members.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in VDC/BIM technologies. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Support and Training: Assist in training field and project management staff on VDC/BIM practices and software. Provide support as needed to ensure efficient use of VDC resources.
• Flex Role: Adapt to varying team needs depending on workload and availability of team members. Provide modeling or drafting support as required.

This is a fully onsite role in Plaistow, NH and will begin as a 6 month contract with full intentions to hire as a permanent employee upon successful completion of contract period. Converting salary can range from $65-90k. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
