The Brand Manager of Shopper Marketing will play a key role on the Marketing team, supporting the evolution of the brand portfolio to drive equity, relevance, and especially growth at key retail accounts.

Job Summary:

This role will report to the Senior Brand Manager of Base Business and will be critical in delivering against AOP targets. The Shopper Marketing Manager will be responsible for building the foundation of Shopper Marketing at Juanita’s. That includes leading cross-functional teams in developing customer segmentation and working with Sales Planning and Field Sales to develop investment strategies and tailored plans to grow brand equity and sales at target accounts.

The incumbent will have a strong desire to build and drive in a dynamic and fast paced environment. They will be able to turn ambiguity into clear people, planning, and project management, and will use strong communication skill to drive alignment within and across functions. Furthermore, they will have a strong Brand Management and retail/shopper/omni background that will enable them to identify and take action against opportunities for improvement, supporting Juanita’s path to rapid growth.

Essential Functions:

Customer Strategy

  • Lead cross functional teams in the annual segmenting and prioritizing of customers to drive AOP targets, based on size of prize, required investment, and profitability.
  • Drive alignment with leadership and sales teams on investment levels by customer.

Planning & Executing

  • Build cohesive, complementary investment approaches across marketing and trade funds, designed to meet customer specific objectives.
  • Develop wholistic approach to retail growth inclusive of brand-driven digital media, retail media, and e-commerce platforms. Champion brand positioning and strategy across all projects.
  • Develop process and templates that align with customer specific initiatives and enable inputs and outputs to plan, track, and measure.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop customer specific KPIs, cadence for measurement and optimization.
  • Develop strong partnership with Sales Planning and Field Sales to continually improve the Shopper Marketing process.

Experience and Background:

  • MBA degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ CPG Brand Management and retail/shopper/omni channel marketing experience.
  • Experience working or leading both trade and marketing activations for accounts.
  • Preferred experience working with top 5 retail accounts (Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons, etc.) on full funnel Omni commerce campaign planning and execution
  • Working knowledge of Retail Media, including Walmart Connect, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience in Strategic Planning required. Securing direct manager alignment and validation across multiple cross-functional business units plus external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to clearly lay out objectives, strategies, tactics, key takeaways.
  • High fluency in syndicated platforms and data (IRI, Nielsen).
  • Proven analytic skills. Must be comfortable mining and analyzing data to develop clear and actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working with agency teams and retail vendors to translate brand and retail objectives into impactful retail programs, creative, and tactical execution.
  • Resilient problem solver with ability to create focus within ambiguity, creating systems, process, and tools when appropriate.
  • High levels of interpersonal skills, with experience leading/influencing cross-functional teams, agencies, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability manage multiple projects to deliver against budget, timelines, and objectives.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Appetite to help shape strategy, process, and team dynamics.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer, participating in virtual meetings, or performing other office-based tasks.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching to retrieve files or interact with team members in a warehouse or office environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, such as handling sample products, office supplies, or documents.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent communication via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
