Summary:

This outside sales position is responsible for successfully managing all elements of their assigned territory to meet/exceed territory goals, partner with customers to help grow their business and increase market penetration. This role is responsible for growing the territory through new business and existing customer growth plans.

Core Functions:
•Develops and implements strategic sales plans to meet and exceed goals for their assigned territory.
•Aggressively develops new business through the CSMI sales process.
•Performs ongoing market analysis of the competition, their offerings, and market penetration.
•Understands barriers for growth in territory and proposes corrective actions to address the barriers.
•Utilizes independent authority to change or accommodate the following as appropriate to accommodate customer and business needs: Customer Pricing, Freight Charges, Product Packaging Requirements, and Special Delivery Requirements.
•Maintains an in-person presence in the market, visiting customers, prospects, competition, and jobsites.
•Trains customers on product specifications, marketing materials, online tools, sales techniques, and product installation.
•Gathers market intelligence for pricing decisions. Manages pricing with the Territory Sales Manager.
•Assists in warranty claim investigation as needed.
•Assists in account receivable resolutions as needed.

•Ability to create presentations for customers using Microsoft PowerPoint.
•Ability to analyze data using Microsoft Excel.
•Understanding of the metal building business.
•Ability to solve problems for customers that are escalated.

Education & Experience:

Minimum Required:
•Bachelor's degree in relative field preferred or equivalent job experience.
•Three years' of proven field sales success in meeting and/or exceeding sales quotas.
•Three years' experience with CRM Systems.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies as well as communicate verbally and electronically. The work is primarily sedentary. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and in a non-temperature-controlled environment. While performing the core function of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, and required to lift to 35 lbs.

Travel

This role is expected to travel 4 days a week visiting prospects and customers in their territory.
