We are a busy, reputable outpatient primary care clinic in Margate, FL seeking an experienced Certified Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. This is a full-time position for a Plebotomist/CMA who is comfortable with both clinical and administrative duties , including phlebotomy , insurance verification , prior authorizations , and HEDIS coordination .

Responsibilities:

• Phlebotomist / Medical Assistant – Experienced in blood draw and specimen collection , coding for lab procedures, and transmitting orders through eClinicalWorks (eCW) . Skilled in proper labeling, handling, and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely results reporting.
• Conduct insurance verification and obtain prior authorizations
• Track and abstract data for HEDIS and payer quality metrics
• Assist in closing care gaps and coordinating referrals
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff

Requirements:

• Certified Plebotomist/ Medical Assistant (Required)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an outpatient setting
• Skilled in phlebotomy, insurance verification, and prior auths
• HEDIS experience or knowledge of quality metrics strongly preferred
• EHR proficiency (eCW)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or Chinese/Cantonese/Mandarin is a plus
