Job Description

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced CTO for our client, a wonderful national, multi-site company based in the Montville/Parsippany-Troy Hills area! In this role, you’ll utilize your strategic IT expertise to manage IT and Network operations and to keep this growing company modern, exploring how cloud technology and AI can assist different departments work more efficiently and serving both internal and external clients. This is a full time, direct hire, hybrid opportunity, with the office in New Jersey.

• Compensation range is $275-340k, depending on experience, plus bonus

What you will be doing:

• Create and execute strategic IT plans to meet business objectives; recommending areas of improvement and adoption of the latest technologies (Cloud, AI); translating complex technical concepts and ideas into accessible language for diverse audiences and stakeholders
• Oversee all IT operations- network, hardware, software including maintenance, enhancements, and new projects
• Budgeting, including forecasting for projects for multiple locations
• Serve internal and external customers; working to identify technical solutions
• Oversee day-to-day IT operations of a large team (50+) professionals including hardware, software, network, support and compliance teams
• Develop and implement best practices for all IT operations with a focus on data security

What you will need:

• Minimum 10 years’ recent experience in a SVP, CIO, or CTO position, reporting to the CEO vs another IT executive
• Experience leading IT in a large environment of a similar size (3,000-5,000 users, $350-600m in annual revenue)
• Demonstrated history of long-term tenure in previous roles
• Demonstrated success managing all pieces of complex, large IT systems (hardware, software, applications, cloud, network, etc) in a multi-location setting
• Expertise in IT budgets and planning
• Ability for some travel (approximately 10-15%)
• Bachelor’s degree; Masters in IT, Business, or related fields preferred
