About The Doctors’ Volunteer Clinic:

The Doctors' Volunteer Clinic is a nonprofit, non-government organization that offers healthcare services to uninsured, underinsured, and low-income individuals. Services include non-urgent primary care, specialty medical care, dental services, and mental health care and support. The clinic operates entirely on private donations and grants, with over thirty-five volunteer healthcare professionals providing care. The Clinic sees over 15,000 patient encounters annually and is dedicated to bridging healthcare gaps within our wonderful Southern Utah community.

Position Summary:

We seek an experienced and compassionate Clinic Executive Director to oversee our daily operations. The Executive Director will manage clinic staff and volunteer providers, ensure high-quality patient care, maintain financial sustainability, and drive strategic growth initiatives. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for service, and a commitment to empowering others.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the clinic's day-to-day operations, including staffing, scheduling, patient flow, and resource allocation.
• Prioritize patient care and provider needs, ensuring the highest care delivery and satisfaction.
• Serving as a team player and role model, fostering a collaborative and supportive clinic environment.
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately to staff and volunteers, ensuring efficient operations.
• Mentor and train staff and volunteers to become future healthcare leaders.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and clinic metrics, including patient volumes, financial performance, and grant applications/awards.
• Compliance with regulatory standards ensures that the clinic adheres to legal and ethical guidelines.
• Build relationships with community partners, donors, and stakeholders to support the clinic’s mission.
• Oversee relationships with teaching institutions and manage students on rotations.

The ideal candidate possesses the following:

• A passion for serving the underserved 
• Bachelor’s Degree with five years experience in clinic operations and/or management or a Master’s Degree with three years experience in clinic operations and/or management.
• Proven experience operating a medical clinic with a strong understanding of healthcare operations.
• Ability to prioritize patient and provider needs while maintaining operational efficiencies.
• Excellent leadership and delegation skills with a desire to train and develop others.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to track KPIs and interpret clinic metrics.
• Proficient in managing financial aspects, including budgeting, cost control, and ensuring financial sustainability.
• Experience with various electronic medical record (EMR) systems and expertise in optimizing clinical workflows through technology.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software
• Experience with non-profit organizations
