CLUB Events Marketing Manager Location Lincoln, NE (Highlands area) :

POSITION SUMMARY:

The CLUB Events Marketing Manger develops and leads the CLUB event marketing strategy in all channels to increase CLUB Mastercard acquisition, activation and retention. Leads CLUB Events team and manages key metrics and budgets associated with event marketing strategy. Defines new channel event opportunities to expand event presence in the market. Identifies sponsorship opportunities to offset costs or generate additional revenue. Drives integration with other Bass Pro Shops/Cabela's strategies and leads communication and training with impacted Outfitters with customer contact. Establishes and promotes CLUB event presence in the outdoor industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Creates, leads and manages a multi-channel event strategy to increase CLUB Mastercard acquisition, activation and retention of profitable CLUB Mastercard accounts. Analyzes various data points (including customer research feedback, acquisition, activation and retention goals, event evaluations, etc.) to determine changes to event strategy to increase success. Identifies performance metrics and determine process to measure and report. Drives process to analyze results, identify changes and lead execution of enhancements. Leverages industry experts and other stakeholders to expand event strategy objectives and actions. Ensures successful execution of all events.

  • Guides and provides direction and motivation to the events staff so the team can perform effectively. Provides feedback, coaching, training and support, tracks the progress of each employee's activities and effectiveness, and hold them accountable for quality and deadlines.

  • Defines new channels to execute events including integrating into Bass Pro Shops/Cabela's event strategy to drive company branding and profits. Leads creation and execution of pilot event concepts to test recommendations in partnership with key stakeholders. Supports execution of internal events.

  • Identifies and solicits new sponsorships to offset costs of events and/or drive additional revenue and lead third party vendor selection. Builds and leverages professional network, leads negotiations and manages performance and contract adherence.

  • Manages relationships with internal partners to ensure marketing programs are integrated within Cabela's Omni strategy, CLUB Mastercard marketing strategy and successfully executed in promoted in appropriate channels. Ensures development of communication and training strategies to ensure Outfitter education on strategy to provide service and information to customers on events as appropriate.

  • Establishes and promotes Cabela's CLUB event presence in the outdoor industry. Identifies key media and industry contacts, cultivate relationships and built strategy to expand Cabela's CLUB Mastercard presence in various industry print, digital and event arenas.

  • Leads and manages all budgeting and compliance processes for CLUB event strategies.

  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field

  • Experience: 4-6 years

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

  • Experience with outdoors sports.

  • Event planning experience required.

  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams; some supervisory or management experience required

  • Visionary with long term focus

  • Self-Starter who demonstrates personal initiative and willingly assumes responsibility and ownership

  • Ability to build motivated, positive, trust-based team and strong working relationships with internal and external customers

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 50% or more nationally and internationally

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regular computer work, and sitting

  • Occasional walking, standing, and lifting up to 50lbs

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT :

  • Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
