GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

CM Company, Inc. is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent who has managed commercial construction projects from $5M - $30M to join our team in Boise, Idaho. CM Company, Inc. is a successful commercial construction company that has been working in the Northwest for 48 years. Specialty areas include Healthcare, Business, Public, Hospitality, K-12 Schools & Universities.

Role & Responsibilities

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for all phases of a project. Including; planning and startup, supervision of subcontractors, and overall project construction to schedule, budget, quality, and safety specifications.

  • Create & Maintain Site Material Handling Plan
  • Plan & Conduct Weekly Coordination and Safety Meetings
  • Conduct Daily Safety & QC Inspections
  • Manage SWPPP
  • Schedule Building Inspections Review
  • Preliminary & Final Shop Drawings & Submittals
  • Review Coordination Drawings with Appropriate Contractors
  • Schedule Temporary & Permanent Utilities
  • Prepare & Submit Daily Reports and Timecard Entries
  • Code Receipts and Purchase Orders
  • Verify Layout, Openings & Backing/Blocking
  • Verify Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Specs
  • Document Accurate As-Builts Throughout the Project
  • Maintain Work Package & Budget
  • Maintain & Update the Schedule
  • Create & Maintain Short Interval Schedules
  • Schedule Contractors
  • Verify Material Delivery Dates & Correct Delivery
  • Manage & Schedule Project Manpower
  • Manage & Coordinate All Final Occupancy Inspections
  • Provide Supervisory Direction to Foreman and Carpenters.
  • Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of  Commercial Construction experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a  Superintendent managing  Commercial Construction projects from $5M to $30M .
  • Cloud-based construction management software experience. Procore, a plus.
  • Experience using smartphones and tablets.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Skills

  • A demonstrated steady work record.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.

Education

  • Construction Management or comparable degree, desirable.
  • High school diploma or GED, required.

Working Conditions & Other Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds by self in a safe manner.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
  • Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
