Estimator – Concrete Subcontractor

Location: Hollywood, FL

Salary: $135,000 + Bens

A full-service concrete subcontractor is looking for a Estimator with prior concrete experience to join their growing team. As an Estimator, you will work closely with clients and their representatives to ensure that technical specifications and designs align with industry standards and project feasibility. Your key responsibilities will include developing accurate job estimates, conducting site visits, and evaluating bids. You will play an integral role in helping clients meet their project budgets by reviewing project details, materials, and building methods.

Essential:

• Develop accurate and comprehensive job estimates.
• Study proposals, blueprints, written specifications, and related documents to identify labor, material, and time requirements.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to understand the project scope.
• Perform blueprint reviews and take-offs.
• Solicit bids from subcontractors and gather subcontractor pricing.
• Review subcontractor bids for consistency with bid documents and plans.
• Calculate costs for subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials.
• Work with clients to align project budgets with plan details, alternative materials/finishes, and construction methods.

What You’ll Need:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of estimating experience, with a strong emphasis on concrete projects.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Expertise in estimating at various stages, including Conceptual, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction document budgets and estimates.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with estimating software, preferably On-Screen Take Off & Excel, is a plus.
