Job Title: Foreman

B&S is seeking an experienced and highly organized Foreman to oversee daily field operations. The Foreman will supervise crews, coordinate site activities, and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification. This hands-on role requires leadership, communication skills, and a deep understanding of site development procedures and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead crews in all aspects of site development, including grading, excavation, and underground utilities (water, sewer, storm).
• Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project schedules.
• Coordinate daily tasks according to project priorities and deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and reports of labor, equipment, and materials.
• Work closely with project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor and manage site productivity and crew performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve site issues as they arise.
• Assist with training and mentoring crew members.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in site development or heavy civil construction.
• 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, utility installation, and site layout.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and construction drawings.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and in various weather conditions.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
