Corporate Legal Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Format, type, and proofread complex legal documents using CompareRite or other redlining applications.
• Manage internal and client deadlines effectively.
• Prepare and edit correspondence, meeting minutes, and other legal documents from written, oral, and dictated sources.
• Maintain, properly close, and/or purge files; scan and file Firm and Client correspondence and legal documents into I-Manage.
• Prepare new business records and engagement letters.
• Input and edit attorney's time entries and review pre-bills.
• Schedule meetings and arrange travel.
• Answer telephones, distribute messages, set up conference calls, send and receive emails and faxes; resolve issues as needed; open, sort, and distribute mail.
• Reconcile expense reimbursements; process check and petty cash requests.
• Maintain attorney's calendars by scheduling internal and external meetings; reserve conference rooms; order food and/or refreshments.
