Data Governance & Stewardship

• Own and manage critical finance data domains (e.g., GL, AR, AP, Cost, Revenue, Assets).
• Define and maintain business definitions, data standards, and metadata for finance data.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in Data Governance Councils and working groups.

Data Quality Management

• Define data quality rules, controls, and thresholds for finance data elements.
• Monitor data quality metrics and dashboards; analyze trends and root causes.
• Drive remediation of data quality issues in collaboration with business and IT teams.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring finance data issues.

Finance Data & Domain Systems

• Solid understanding of finance data models (GL, Sub-ledgers, Revenue, Cost, Assets).
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday Financials).
• Understanding of financial close, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
• Familiarity with chart of accounts, hierarchies, and financial dimensions.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion, and transformation logic.
• Experience with data reconciliation across source and target systems.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL for data analysis, validation, and issue investigation.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and identify anomalies
• Knowledge/ experience in Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge/ experience in Big Query

Business & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the single point of contact for finance data-related queries and initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance leadership, Controllers, FP&A, and Audit teams.
• Support CXO-level discussions with data insights and impact assessments.
• Translate finance business requirements into data governance and quality requirements.

Data Lifecycle & Change Management

• Support data lineage documentation for finance data flows across systems.
• Review and approve changes impacting finance data during system upgrades or transformations.
• Ensure controlled onboarding of new finance data sources and attributes.
• Support UAT and validation for finance data during project releases.

Reporting & Compliance Support

• Enable accurate financial, management, and regulatory reporting through trusted data.
• Support audits by providing data definitions, controls, and quality evidence.
• Ensure alignment with internal controls and compliance frameworks.
