What You’ll Do

As Director of MOFB Health Plans , you will lead the strategic, operational, and financial performance of Missouri Farm Bureau’s health plan offerings. You will oversee product development, vendor management, regulatory compliance, and member engagement to ensure our health plans deliver high-quality, cost-effective care and support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with third-party administrators (TPAs) on development and enhancement of health benefit products for MOFB members.
  • Oversee relationships and contracts with providers, TPAs, and vendors.
  • Serve as a liaison among government officials, grassroots members, and internal stakeholders.
  • Promote and educate members on health offerings through meetings, agents, and marketing campaigns.
  • Plan and execute events that drive member awareness and benefit utilization.
  • Lead strategic planning and business development for healthcare product lines.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal health plan regulations; act as liaison to regulatory agencies.
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional staff teams in operations, compliance, marketing, and member services.
  • Support training efforts on systems and processes to ensure efficient delivery of services.
  • Monitor budget performance and recommend enhancements to leadership.

Requirements to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in health plan administration, managed care, or related healthcare insurance roles
  • Proven leadership managing cross-functional teams in a regulated environment
  • Experience with provider networks, TPAs, compliance, and claims management
  • Deep understanding of healthcare regulations including ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, and state-specific laws
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Analytical mindset with budget management experience and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Technical proficiency in health benefits systems and Microsoft Office Suite
