At Maimonides every nurse is a leader of patient care, dedicated to clinical excellence in every facet of their nursing practice. We currently seek a Director of Nursing Ambulatory Care to be responsible for the direction and leadership of operational, financial, programmatic and personal activities for ambulatory operations. This includes establishing, meeting and continuously monitoring the goals and objectives while maintaining alignment with the strategic goals and objectives for Maimonides Medical Center.

In this role, you will also be responsible for nursing practice oversight by organizing and leading the delivery of nursing care for designated patient care area, including:

  • Analyzing clinical practice and identifying opportunities to improve quality, safety, effectiveness and efficiency with Primary and Specialty care; Identifying clinical indicators to measure and improve care;
  • Providing leadership in value-based care initiatives;
  • Maintaining compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory agencies such as DOH and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare organizations; and
  • Supervising registered nurses/healthcare providers who deliver nursing care.

We require:

  • Current NYS RN Licensure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field
  • BLS Certification
  • Progressive nursing leadership experience
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in the management of ambulatory services and/or programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

We prefer:

  • Certification in Ambulatory Care
  • Certification as a Nurse Executive

Salary: $170k - $180k. We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the Hospital Union.
