We're seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Postpartum Nursing to lead our growing women's health department at a premier healthcare facility in Austin, Texas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of maternal care in one of America's most vibrant cities.
Key Responsibilities• Oversee and optimize postpartum and lactation services, including couplet care and IMC units
• Develop and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes
• Manage clinical operations, staffing, and budgets for a expanding women's health center
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence in patient-centered care
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
• Drive initiatives to improve patient experience and staff engagement
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance existing services and develop new offerings
• BSN required; MSN preferred
• Current RN license in Texas or ability to obtain
• BCLS certification
• Minimum 5 years of experience in women's health or maternal care
• At least 2 years in a nursing leadership role
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based postpartum and lactation practices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills
