Job Description

Kennebec Valley Community Action Program (KVCAP), which seeks to strengthen individuals, families and communities through direct services and community collaborations that create solutions to poverty, is looking to hire a part-time Dishwasher at Educare Central Maine in Waterville . This is a Monday through Friday, 20 hour a week position.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the kitchen and site team
• Follow established standards/regulations of CACFP, Head Start, Child Care, OSHA and ServSafe for food safety, dishwashing and sanitation practices
• Support meal services for children and food for meetings by assisting with basic food preparation tasks, food delivery, dish pick-up, and timely cleaning of dishes
• Assist in maintaining food and supply inventory

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in food service operation
• Knowledge of food/safety sanitation regulations; ServSafe Certification preferred
• Ability to relate positively to children and adults
• Ability to lift 50 pound containers and packages, and to regularly sit, speak, listen, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch
• Ability to pass a physical examination , background checks including fingerprinting
