Duration: Temp (6months)

Shift: Mon-Fri (8am-5pm)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Dispatcher to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers experiencing issues with equipment covered under the service contracts. You’ll use your communication skills, professionalism, and calm demeanor to manage urgent situations—sometimes involving elevator entrapments—while ensuring service requests are handled quickly and accurately.

What You’ll Do

  • Professionally handle incoming service calls from customers and verify service obligations using active contract files.
  • Dispatch the appropriate service technician and ensure accurate follow-up for smooth call hand-off or closure.
  • Manage calls from elevators, including calming entrapped passengers, determining emergency levels, and contacting authorities or agents when needed.
  • Accurately enter call details into the call center information system and follow local procedures to ensure proper escalation.
  • Maintain communication in emergency situations following defined protocols.
  • Apply excellent phone etiquette and clear communication skills in all interactions.
  • Use judgment when escalating calls that cannot be transferred to a designated agent.
  • Provide clerical support including data entry, filing, report generation, and distribution.
  • Lift computer equipment up to 50 lbs when needed and work efficiently within a standard office environment.

What You Bring

  • Knowledge of basic Windows-based PC operations.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong grammar skills and a pleasant, professional phone presence.
  • Ability to stay calm and reassuring during emergency situations.
  • Typing speed of 50+ WPM , including numeric accuracy.
  • Familiarity with general office equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish color-coded computer functions.
  • Strong focus, attention to detail, and adherence to procedures.
