Document Control Specialist

Location: Redmond, Washington

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering DMRs, specifications, change orders, parts, and bills of material through release and distribution processes.
  • Managing the documentation aspects of engineering change management and ensuring accuracy of document databases.
  • Providing training and technical support on PLM and ERP systems to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Interfacing with document creators and reviewers to ensure documentation accuracy and GMP compliance.
  • Collaborating with design engineering, purchasing, quality, product support, and manufacturing to meet documentation requirements.
  • Maintaining current and historical DMR files in alignment with filing standards, record retention policies, and GMP.
  • Supporting configuration management improvement projects and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Creating and maintaining document center guidelines and procedures.
  • Enforcing data governance policies to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Training users on PLM systems, change processes, and document procedures.
  • Executing projects to update product master data for regulatory compliance (e.g., UDI, ACE, PMA, MDD).
  • Updating logs, databases, and catalogs of product, manufacturing, and compliance data.
  • Coordinating the review and revision of procedures, specifications, and forms.
  • Preparing process/status reports and reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assisting with compiling regulatory filing documentation and maintaining digital documentation systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Systems, or Information Management.
  • 3–5 years of configuration control experience or a combination of configuration control and production experience totaling 5 years.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a regulated industry.
  • 3–5 years of related experience in a business environment is preferred.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Word and technical writing.
  • Strong understanding of document control and configuration management processes.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Strong task management and prioritization skills.
  • Self-motivated and efficient, with a process-driven mindset.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, strong work ethic, and team-oriented behavior.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience writing and implementing work instructions to support new systems or processes is a plus.
