Job description Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dump truck. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and the ability to handle various types of trailers, including flatbed, tanker, and refrigerated trailers. Duties Operate a dump truck to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and construction debris. Load and unload freight safely and efficiently. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including load weights and delivery times. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Operate various types of trailers, including flatbed, tanker, tractor-trailer, roll-off truck, and refrigerated trailer as needed. Ensure proper handling of manual transmission vehicles. Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively. Experience with loading and unloading materials safely. Knowledge of safety regulations related to transportation and heavy equipment operation. Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients professionally. Ability to work flexible hours as needed based on project demands. Bilingual a plus.
