General Description:
The eCommerce Channel Planner will lead the demand and sales planning activities for the eCommerce business by delivering accurate and timely demand forecasts and product sales trend analysis. This role will closely partner with the eCommerce sales teams, demand planning peers, and supply planning teams. The primary objective is to maximize sales and service levels to our accounts while minimizing inventory and obsolescence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forecasting and Planning:
    • Maintain an 18-month rolling consensus forecast in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Management teams.
    • Generate and review baseline forecasts and product life cycle patterns leveraging consumer sales data.
    • Develop phased forecasts based on product release dates and promotions.
    • Provide clear recommendations for an unconstrained demand forecast across all brands/items.
    • Consult with sales and marketing teams on the impact of sales velocity from promotions and marketing campaigns.
    • Integrate the impact of advertising strategies into demand plans at the product level to drive profitability within the portfolio, ensuring service levels are maintained to maximize sales.

       
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with Marketing to identify products to be forecasted.
    • Liaise with Sales to integrate customer plans into forecasting tools.
    • Communicate demand changes impacting inventory and service with the Supply planners.

       
  • Process Improvement:
    • Suggest and implement process improvements and efficiencies in the demand planning process.
    • Contribute to capacity planning with demand forecast scenarios.
    • Maintain forecasts and requisitions of product assortment waves based on Sales and Marketing requirements.

       
  • Performance Expectations:
    • Achieve accurate and timely demand forecasts.
    • Maximize sales and service levels while minimizing inventory and obsolescence.
    • Implement process improvements in the demand planning process.

       
  • Work experience and other requirements:
    • Experience:
      • Minimum 3 years of experience in Demand Planning.
      • Experience working with sales and marketing teams.
      • Experience in a matrix environment is preferred.
      • Proficient with demand planning tools and advanced Excel skills.
    • Skills:
      • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
      • Strong communication and influencing abilities.
      • Ability to work independently and in a team, with a continuous improvement mindset.
      • Flexibility and self-starting capability.

         
  • Education Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree, preferred focus in Business Management, Statistics, or analytics
