We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-driven, collaborative individual to design and execute experiments supporting the technology development of non-viral gene delivery at the clinical scale. The Engineer I will be responsible for scaling electroporation technology and non-viral gene editing operation for platform development and will report into the technology platform lead.
**Responsibilities:**
* Design and execute experiments to scale-up electroporation mediated gene delivery from the bench-top to clinical manufacturing scale.
* Customize the gene editing unit operation for different cell therapy manufacturing platforms.
* Perform data analysis, interpret data from multicolor flow cytometry and other bioassays, present study data and findings to the team and different stakeholders.
* Facilitate technology transfer to/from other teams.
* Author technical documents including protocols, manufacturing batch records, technical reports, patents and regulatory documents
**Basic Qualifications:**
* Bachelors (BS) or Masters (MS) Degree in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, or related discipline
* 0-2 (MS) or 2+ (BS) years hands-on lab experience with aseptic processing of mammalian cells, (preferably primary cells); preferred working knowledge and experience with T-cell engineering process and instrumentation at the clinical manufacturing scale
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through oral presentation and technical writing
* Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Experience and working knowledge of concepts like immunology, cell therapy, statistical analysis and design of experiments, gene editing, electroporation, flow cytometry, etc.
