Job Description

Our client, a leader in the transportation industy, has an entry-level opening for an EDI Developer, which would be ideal for a recent college graduate who has fundamental knowledge of application programming and data analysis and who is looking to gain application development experience in the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) space

Reporting to the Manager of EDI, the EDI Developer II will work as part of the EDI team in the design and development of EDI applications, interfaces, and maps.
This is an onsite position based in southeast Alabama

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in completing new EDI setups and ensuring execution meets committed timeframes.
• Help establish file transfer protocols according to trading partner or 3rd party requirements
  
  
• Work with senior members to establish EDI requirements
  
  
• Perform comprehensive testing of EDI transactions with trading partners or 3RD parties
  
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve EDI processing issues
  
  
• Provide day-to-day support for all EDI transaction issues
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT related field
  Equivalent experience will be considered
  
• Able to work successfully in both a team and individual environment
  
  
• Possess fundamental knowledge of data analysis and programming
  
  
• Readiness and demonstrated ability to learn Sterling B2B Integrator, EDI standards, and EDI file transfer protocols such as FTP and AS2
• Prior EDI experience is a plus but not required
  
  
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server a plus but not required
  
  
• Transportation knowledge a plus but not required
