One of our clients—a top Mechanical/HVAC Construction Company known for its award-winning projects and strong industry relationships—is looking for an Estimating Manager to lead and oversee the preconstruction efforts for a nationally recognized mechanical and HVAC construction contractor. What You’ll Do:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the estimating program for projects centered in and around the Columbus, Ohio region.
• Oversee the entire estimation process and help to mentor and develop the estimating department team members.
• Manage team milestones and help to facilitate strong relationships with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Review all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Lead and attend all preplanning meetings as required.
• Spearhead continual improvement of the estimating department; this applies to review and update of protocols, policies, procedures, tracking metrics, cost models, and historical cost databases.
• Participate in strategy workshops/meetings and play an active role in helping to advance the company's mission.
• Provide overall leadership and ongoing training for the estimating team and play a critical role in their employee development journey.

What We’re Looking For:

• B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of of construction estimating construction projects
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical construction pricing and estimating.
• Advanced knowledge of plumbing, piping, HVAC, and/or sheet metal systems.
• 3+ years experience leading an estimating team.
• Ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems.
• Previous experience working in a team/corporate environment with proven ability to create estimating strategies to further company objectives.
• A strong communicator who enjoys leading, mentoring, and guiding a large team of estimators!
