We are seeking a motivated and skilled Field Service Technician to provide on-site support and maintenance for packaging equipment across the nation. This role requires frequent travel (80-90%) to customer locations, with occasional international travel. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, along with experience or training in PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) systems. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of packaging machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to customer sites nationwide (80-90% of the time) to install, service, and repair packaging machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and PLC-related issues on packaging systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with customers to provide technical support, training, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain accurate service records.
• Provide timely feedback and report on service activities, issues, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Experience or formal training in PLC systems, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
• Previous field service or hands-on experience in the packaging or related industries is preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively (80-90%) within the U.S., with occasional international trips.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
