POSITION SUMMARY: The Fleet & Service Center Manager oversees the operations, maintenance, repair, and logistics of the city's fleet, ensuring vehicles are well maintained, efficient, and compliant with safety regulations. Core responsibilities include managing vehicle procurement, leasing, and fleet expenses while optimizing fleet performance. The role also leads the service center, overseeing staff, equipment maintenance, and repair processes to ensure timely, high-quality service. Additionally, the role provides administrative support to the Service Center within the Public Works/Engineering Department and reports directly to the Director of Public Works/Engineering. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $66,293.24 annually. Please for compensation/benefits information.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING• High school graduate or GED equivalent is required.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible fleet experience; or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience is required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING
• Previous experience as a Service Advisor or Service Manager is preferred
• Experience in managing budgets for fleet operations is preferred.
• Previous experience negotiating contracts with vendors is preferred.
• Previous experience with fleet management software and telematics systems is preferred.
• ASCE Certification is preferred
MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
• A passing grade on the written portion of the Class A or B CDL exam is required before employment.
• Must pass the driving portion of the Class A or B CDL exam with tanker endorsement within 6 months of start date.
• Must be willing to work snow routes that include 12-hour shifts during the months of November through March.
• Must be highly engaged in the department's goals and be able to work cooperatively with City of Branson leadership in achieving those goals.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service to the department's internal or external customers.
• Must possess a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, along with proven leadership experience in managing staff and projects to successful outcomes. Strong interpersonal communication, sound judgment, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail are essential.
• Tattoos, Scarification, Body Art, and Body Modifications must meet City of Branson Employee Appearance at Work policy.
• Must act safely and follow safety standards while at work.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings.
WORK HOURS: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Occasional After Hours Needed
WORK LOCATION: City of Branson, Missouri. This is an in office position requiring work to be performed onsite.
