Orion Group's pharmaceutical client's Flight Aviation Department is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Associate to join our Flight Operations team for the summer of 2025!!
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the business aviation industry and work alongside a team of experts dedicated to the highest standards.
As a Flight Operations Summer Associate you will support the department's daily operations, assisting with tasks that ensure the efficient and safe execution of flights.
You will have the opportunity to learn about both domestic and international flight planning, safety management systems, and operational logistics, among various other aspects of corporate aviation.
Flight Operations Associate Responsibilities
· Assist with flight planning, including route planning, fuel planning, handling coordination, security overviews, and weather briefings.
· Support the coordination of flight crew schedules and communication.
· Help ensure compliance with aviation safety standards and regulations.
· Assist in monitoring and reporting flight status, delays, and operational issues.
· Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions on operational improvements.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Aviation and Director of Flight Operations.
Flight Operations Associate Qualifications
· Is currently enrolled in an aviation-related program or a similar field of study.
· Strong interest in the business aviation industry and flight operations.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
· Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
· Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
· Basic knowledge of flight planning software or aviation tools.
· Commercial License with Instrument rating.
Additional Information

· Possible opportunity to fly a Gulfstream 500/600 Level D simulator.
· If interested, at least 2 hours of instruction in a helicopter.
