Pay range: $25/hr. to 26/hr. on W2

Schedule: Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm (Hybrid) (3days onsite, 2 days remote)

Duration: 6+ months (possible extension or conversion)

Job Description:

The Investigations Intake and Triage Specialist is responsible for reviewing alerts related to unusual financial activities and escalating cases that require further investigation. This role ensures compliance with risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and internal policies while collaborating with key stakeholders to support financial security and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial reviews of alerts for unusual financial activities and escalate cases for further analysis.
• Collaborate with internal teams, risk management professionals, and compliance personnel to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Participate in compliance-related projects to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to minimize risks related to internal systems, processes, or human errors.
• Serve as a liaison between business units and risk management teams to ensure effective oversight.
• Assist in maintaining and improving risk management frameworks through ongoing monitoring and analysis.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Criminal Justice or Finance) OR equivalent work experience in:
• Anti-Money Laundering (AML) field
• Alerts triage or investigations
• Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) / Know Your Customer (KYC) experience
• Typically, more than one year of relevant experience

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Basic understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management frameworks.
• Familiarity with business operations, financial products, and associated risk controls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to navigate and utilize multiple software applications for data analysis and reporting.
