Job Description

We are working a role with a top womens apparel company based in NYC. It is working on womens RTW brands with an updated casual aesthetic. They are currently seeking a motivated Asst/Associate Designer to assist our senior design team with all aspects of design and development for a few brands. Working on all categories - wovens, knits, denim.

• Role is full time hours for at least a few months to start. Onsite 4 days a week and 1 remote in midtown NYC.
• Pay rate is based on experience.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in product development at all stages with senior design team, sketching in fashion illustrator.
• Coordinate samples, check-in protos and sales samples, manage and track additional sample needs.
• Create, maintain, and update sales board sheets and production charts.
• Send out and follow-up on tech packages to vendors.
• Manage and comment on all trim, lab dips, and fabrics.
• Maintain all development and production books, daily filing.
• Assist in research and development of seasonal trends.
• Prepare trend boards for management meetings.
• Adapt in fashion Illustrator.
• Adhere to seasonal time and action calendar.
• Serve as strong support for the Designers and Brand Director.

Required Qualifications:

• BA in Fashion Design.
• 2 + years of experience in women’s apparel.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Proficient in MS applications including but not limited to Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to communicate with overseas factories.
