Grain Farm Assistant / Farm Equipment Operator position available on 10,000 acre farm in Northwest Kansas. Primarily dryland wheat, corn, and grain sorghum with one central pivot. Applicant must be self-motivated person with the ability to think and work independently. MUST have experience operating and maintaining modern farm equipment including: semi-trucks, sprayers, planters, combines and drills. Also, should have knowledge of GPS and guidance systems and some light mechanic skills. Welding experience a plus. Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL and a private applicators License. The operation runs 300 to 400 head of steers that are out on grass from March to August so some basic knowledge of cattle is preferred but not required. Salary based on experience. Housing available in the area.
