Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College in North Little, Arkansas, is accepting applications for the Health Information Technology Faculty Adjunct Pool. University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College provides access to high-quality education that promotes student learning and enables individuals to develop to their fullest potential.
SALARY RANGE: $675/ per credit hour
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of course materials, assignments and assessment of student learning outcomes within the structure of the course
- Management of Blackboard LMS and online learning environments, such as AHIMA V Lab, EHR Go, and other HIT software applications.
- Management of accurate student records and timely submission of syllabi, roster certifications, and grades.
- Commitment to follow institutional and department policies regarding all course and college procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with students, colleagues and staff, including timely communication replies.
- Ability and willingness to use contemporary educational techniques and technologies
- A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and effectiveness
- An understanding and appreciation of an applied approach to the study of the discipline, and a willingness to follow the approved departmental curriculum established by the program director and dean.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor degree and two years industry related experience and/or training. A current RHIT or RHIA credential is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Community college experience with online course development and instruction.
