SUPERIOR COURT OF FULTON COUNTY
JOB ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE POSITION OF 
HR INTERN
SALARY GRADE $18.00 - $23.00 (Hourly Rate)
Unclassified Position in the Superior Court Administrator's Office

** THIS IS A TEMPORARY FULL-TIME (up to 40 hours per week) NON-BENEFIT ELIGIBLE POSITION **

HUMAN RESOURCES SUMMER INTERNSHIP (Up to 12 Weeks)
The purpose of this program is to gain skills through an up to 12-week paid Internship that will prepare a participant for future careers in the field of Human Resources. The intern will have the opportunity to learn about all of the Superior Court's Human Resources various functions.

The intern must have an interest in the field of Human Resources, including

• Must have strong communication skills
• Must be able to follow departmental policies
• Must be committed to maintaining confidentiality in the work environment
• Must have a desire to learn new skills

The Superior Court of Fulton County, Department of Human Resources Summer Internship provides an opportunity for recent high school graduates to develop skills in business, public administration, and human resources.

Qualifications:
• Must be at least 17 years old, and must be a high school graduate (or G.E.D.), an undergraduate student or enrolled in a technical college
• Must be available Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:30 am – 5:00 p.m.
• There is a maximum of up to 40 hours per week for up to 12 weeks.

Duties and Responsibilities
The intern will work under close supervision to support the goals of the Superior Court of Fulton County, Human Resources. Some examples of responsibilities are listed below:

• Assist with conducting HR research and reporting results
• Assist HR Coordinator with recruitment procedures
• Assist with drafting written communications
• Assist new hires with the onboarding process
• Update personnel information in HR databases
• Assist with accurate records and retention
• Update HR forms
• Provides administrative support to the Human Resources team; communicate with other departments on HR related issues like scheduling meetings, appointments, interviews, or other activities
