Job Description

People Architects is excited to recruit for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee HR operations at a mission-driven educational organization in Ohio. We're looking for a seasoned HR professional who is both strategic and hands-on — someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is ready to make a real impact.

In this role, you’ll oversee critical HR functions including compliance, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and organizational development, helping drive growth and ensure alignment between people and business goals. We’re seeking This role is critical to fostering a strong workplace culture and ensuring alignment between HR strategies and school objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and school accreditation standards
  • Manage employee relations, performance reviews, and HR investigations
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and staff development initiatives
  • Oversee benefits, compensation structures, and annual budgeting in partnership with the CFO
  • Maintain and improve HR systems, policies, and documentation
  • Support the leadership team with strategic workforce planning and organizational development

Qualifications (required and preferred):

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting
  • Broad HR generalist expertise (compliance, benefits, employee relations, compensation)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Passion for mission-driven work and supporting a values-based workplace
