BASIC FUNCTION: The HVAC Technician will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct system inspections and tests to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manuals.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding HVAC systems.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to complete projects efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid HVAC technician certification (i.e. EPA 608 Certification).
  • Heat pump knowledge & experience preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HVAC technician.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and operations.
  • Proficient in using HVAC tools and equipment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.
  • NO ON CALL HOURS!
