Overview Ready to dive headfirst into the dynamic world of accounting and finance? We're searching for bright, driven interns currently in their Junior or final year of undergraduate study, and we've crafted an exclusive 10-week journey that will take your financial expertise to a whole new level. Designed to fully immerse you into the financial operations that keep our Hotel Property Portfolio thriving. A 360-view rotational program that exposes you to the various facets of accounting and finance from corporate accounting, internal controls, property finance operation and analysis. This is a onsite position based out of our coprorate office in New York and rotating to the properties.
Responsibilities - Work alongside the Accounting and Finance, Treasury, Internal Controls leadership team in a rotational finance internship opportunity
- Participate in month end close process, prepare journal entries, reconciliations and month end financial statements
- Provide support on treasury, financial modelling, planning, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, analysis and reviews
- Gain an understanding of SOX, internal controls, audit processes and procedures
- Assist with various projects as needed
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
Qualifications - Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Finance (in progress) or a similar degree
- Minimum Junior status
- Knowledge of accounting and/or finance principles
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and reports) and PowerPoint skills
- Must be organized with the ability to work accurately in a time efficient manner
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to participate in a summer internship program of 10 weeks (June 10th - August 16th 2024)
- You must reside in Dallas, TX during the internship and work a hybrid schedule
- Salary - $20/hr for 40 hour week/ 10 weeks
