About Business Owner Solutions: Our Business Owner Solutions group provides M&A and transition planning services to lower middle-market and emerging companies. A Business Owner Solutions Intern plays a critical role in supporting the group's Analysts/Associates in providing merger and acquisition services for the firm's sell-side lower middle-market business clients. Internship Location, Availability, and Hours: Located in our Louisville office,interns must be able to work part-time, averaging 30 hours per week. We are seeking a student who can start following the end of Spring Semester 2024 and work year-round until Spring 2025.
As a Business Owner Solutions Intern, you will: - Play an integral role on advisory teams, providing analytical support on mergers and acquisitions, valuation, and other financial advisory services for our clients
- Assist in the preparation of company marketability assessments, financial models, financial performance analysis, corporate and industry research, strategic analyses of companies, client presentations and marketing materials, and management presentations and offering memorandums
- Develop your skills through broad exposure to both junior and senior team members and clients on a daily basis
- Organize and manage multiple tasks and assignments in a fast-paced work environment
What we look for: - Candidates with a strong academic record and an interest in Finance. Must be currently enrolled in an MBA program
- A general understanding of financial statements and the valuations of public and private businesses
- Superior analytical skills, financial acumen and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet specific deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability with a drive for continuous improvement
- A desire to work in a fast-paced, professional environment, with the ability to hit the ground running
- Some experience in a business setting preferred
