Overview:

Primary Function:

This role will be a highway/sitework estimating assistant to our team in Oswego, IL. This position will require a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Typical Duties:

• Perform takeoffs, solicit subs, build estimates, assist handoff of award, etc
• Review and complete understanding of contract specfiications and drawings
• Conduct site visits throughout Greater Chicagoland Area - West Indiana, Crystal Lake, Oswego, Rockford, Dekalb, etc
• Perform field measurements

Physical/Environmental Requirements

· Must be able to do some local travel by driving between job sites, office, and meeting locations.

· Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

· Ability to walk and stand on uneven surfaces.

· Ability to stand for extended periods of time (up to 1 Hr.)

· Ability to climb in and out of vehicles and construction equipment.

· Ability to bend, kneel, twist, reach and lift.

· Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions (including extreme heat and cold)

· Ability to work in dusty environment.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

• Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with owners, sub-contractors, vendors, suppliers, trucking companies, engineering companies, GC's, etc.
• Must be able to work flexible hours as needed
• HCSS, Agtek and Viewpoint knowledge is a plus

Wage Type: Salaried, exempt
