Test Lab Technician

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

1. Hands-on experience designing and conducting tests in collaboration with R&D teams, including developing tooling and fixtures.

We are seeking a dedicated Test Lab Technician to join our team. This role will work directly with the Tech Lead and R&D Team members to design and organize experiments, develop hands-on tests for new products, and maintain high standards in documentation and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experimental Design & Testing (35%) : Participate in the design and organization of experiments alongside the Tech Lead and R&D Team. Assist in developing tooling and fixtures to carry out tests of new products in development.
• Test Execution & Data Recording (25%) : Perform physical testing and stability evaluations on department’s batches using analytical equipment. Record test data in compliance with cGxP guidelines.
• Documentation Preparation (5%) : Prepare technical documents, including API qualifications, incident investigations, SOPs, and reports. Create computer-generated statistics and graphics for technical documentation.
• Sample Preparation & Materials Support (15%) : Manage lab paperwork, laboratory notebooks, sample preparation, accountability, and sampling equipment for batch testing.
• Inventory & Batch Monitoring (20%) : Monitor lab supply inventory and generate purchase requisitions as needed. Oversee validation batches and ensure compliance with established procedures.

Additional Duties:

• Participate in departmental teams and maintain regulatory compliance by following GMP practices.
• Assist with maintaining safety protocols, including safety policies, hazard matrix, and gowning procedures.
• Lift and move up to 10 lbs frequently, 25 lbs occasionally, and up to 40 lbs when necessary.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians and staff.

Position Requirements:

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a test lab or related field, with strong experience in manufacturing operations, cGMPs, and process engineering.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Familiarity with relevant testing equipment, material properties, and machinery.
• Ability to lead peers and junior technicians.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with computer and math skills to perform tasks and produce technical reports.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Able to follow safety policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in testing of experimental tools in simulated field conditions.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety precautions.
