Job Title: Licensing Manager

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 3 days on-site)

Industry: Insurance

Pay: $85,000 - $105,000

Addison Group is hiring for our client, a well-established insurance provider committed to delivering high-quality risk management and compliance solutions. They are seeking a Licensing Manager to lead their regulatory compliance team and ensure smooth licensing operations.

Job Description:

The Licensing Manager will oversee licensing operations, compliance processes, and team performance within a regulated insurance environment. This role requires a proactive leader with experience in insurance licensing and regulatory compliance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency while mentoring a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead & Develop Team: Supervise, mentor, and support a team of 3-5 professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
  • Manage Licensing Operations: Oversee the application, appointment, and termination processes while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with industry regulations, implement best practices, and communicate changes to the team.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize workflow.
  • Resolve Complex Licensing Issues: Serve as the escalation point for licensing-related challenges, collaborating with internal teams to find solutions.
  • Maintain Accurate Records & Reporting: Ensure documentation, compliance reports, and licensing data are up-to-date and accurately maintained.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with legal, compliance, HR, and other departments to align processes with company goals.
  • Performance Management: Establish clear objectives, conduct evaluations, and provide feedback to drive team success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in insurance, business administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance licensing and compliance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of licensing processes, regulatory requirements, and compliance best practices.
  • Experience with licensing software, Microsoft Office Suite, and performance management tools.
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Hybrid, 3 days on-site)
