Job Description

Natixis is seeking a Vice President-level Market Data Engineer to join the Global Market Risk (GMR) Business Support IT Monitoring team within the Business Technology Services (BTS) group. In this role, he/she/they will be involved in the day-to-day management of the Market Data and Electronic Trading environment at Natixis CIB Americas, covering all technical aspects from the initial integration of new systems to second-level end-user support.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Market Data and Electronic Trading Infrastructure Management:

• Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of the Market Data back-end infrastructure.
• Identify and evaluate new developments for emerging platforms.
• Ensure cost-effective solutions align with business needs.

Market Data Content Management:

• Ensure the quality and integrity of Market Data, including real-time, end-of-day, and security master data.
• Collaborate with the Market Data Team and vendors to implement new services.
• Guarantee the timely delivery of content throughout the organization.

Proactive System Monitoring and Documentation:

• Analyze and monitor Market Data infrastructure components to maximize uptime, connectivity, reliability, redundancy, and operational effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate Market Data administration documentation, including IT support and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with internal and external IT auditors to provide necessary documentation.
• Manage monitoring systems for Market Data and Electronic Trading infrastructures, develop monitoring requirements, maintain alerting and escalation policies, and generate periodic system health reports.

Applications and Systems Deployment:

• Collaborate with infrastructure teams, application development groups, and business unit representatives to oversee new implementations and ongoing support for end-users' applications.
• Analyze requirements, provide design and implementation recommendations in line with company standards, and document all processes.

Project Management and Coordination:

• Act as a liaison between user communities and support teams.
• Design and maintain documentation for Market Data and Electronic Trading systems and services.
• Plan and execute system upgrades and document project requirements, propose solutions, manage project plans, and report on project status.
• Follow best practices for project and task management, system installation, configuration, redundancy, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with local and global IT teams to achieve short- and long-term goals, managing project execution and participation across all phases.
• Assess hardware and software upgrade needs to ensure systems are current and well-maintained.
• Design, implement, and maintain scripts to automate non-standardized tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in the Market Data domain.
• Technical expertise and a thorough understanding of various Market Data technologies and best practices
• Effective communication skills including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in layman's terms, along with strong documentation abilities, are essential for success in this role.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and effectively communicate project status to management and peers.
• Highly organized, flexible, results-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
• Strong understanding of leading Market Data technologies from design, engineering, and troubleshooting perspectives.

• Bloomberg Systems (Terminal, API, Server API, Bpipe)

• Scripting Languages :

• Networking:
• Basic understanding of switching and routing, firewalls, NAT, and proxies
• Basic understanding of multicast

The salary range for this position will be between $145,000 - $175,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
