JOB SUMMARY:

Serving as the account supervisor’s right hand, the marketing coordinator stays informed about the market, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, while helping to strategize and implement marketing plans. Guidance is provided to perform varied activities that require analytical ability, creativity, originality and ingenuity in making decisions and solving problems. Day to day, the coordinator drafts reports, creates or coordinates content, tracks results, builds relationships with clients, and otherwise supports all marketing strategies. Often, this person acts as the intermediary between creative, account teams and clients.

The marketing coordinator often acts as a catalyst for new projects, building out first drafts of marketing and communications plans and other deliverables such as emails and outlines for blogs and presentations. A keen understanding in analyzing strategy set by the practice lead to generate and execute plans is crucial for success in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Traffic projects end to end including creative development, scheduling, budget tracking and production

· Update manager on assigned accounts, involving them immediately on client issues, budget overruns, etc.

· Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success

· Maintain planning matrices and content inventory, ensuring all resources are current and accurate

· Follow strategic direction of account director to create outlines and initial marketing plan deliverables

· Regularly checks for and responds promptly to all client communications, including calls and emails

· Ensure highest levels of client satisfaction are met on a daily basis

· Must react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned

· Other projects and tasks as requested

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of:

· English language usage and grammar, required to proofread marketing copy

· Awareness of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods

Skill in:

· Expressing ideas clearly and logically

· Experience working with budgets and forecasting

· Conducting basic research using the Internet and other sources, and incorporating results in writing

· Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint

· Knowledge of Mac systems

Ability to:

· Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

· Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions and changing priorities

· Balance conflicting resource and priority demands

· Organize and manage multiple projects and assignments with keen attention to detail

· Independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism, Communications, English or related field and a minimum one – two years of related experience

· Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
