Job Description

Overview Marketing Manager is responsible for providing leadership in areas of marketing, public relations, promotion, and partner liaison. The Marketing Manager will assist in designing campaigns, policies, and strategic business plans to achieve objectives established by Snap-on Equipment Solutions (EQS) Management team. Responsibilities

  • Participates in the development of short and long-term planning objectives that will assure the continued profitable growth of the company and translates these into effective marketing strategies.
  • Retains accountability for the development and implementation of the annual marketing plan and budget.
  • Designs and implements overall marketing strategy and specific campaigns designed to increase the branding, visibility and demand for company specific products and services.
  • Coordinates translation of documentation and application user interface text into required languages
  • Assists in creating and editing marketing materials, product requirements documents, and other support documentation as requested.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of each component of the marketing strategy to ensure maximum return on investment.
  • Establishes and maintains close relationships with key strategic partners – individuals and organizations - who can influence positively the media presence and/or the service revenues of the company.
  • Manages the content of the corporate internet site and components of the intranet, working with external and internal third-parties who may be responsible for delivering portions of these sites.
  • Participates with business development in establishing contracts with clients and purchased services that translate into increased revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Strives to understand and remain current with the various technologies that the company uses in its work and with all relevant technologies in systems integration, application development and business solutions.
  • Performs key support in the Pursuit Process with brand generation specific to the proposal and in making sure that our presentations and proposals are clear, concise, and targeted.
  • Works in conjunction with Marketing to conduct user forums, focus groups that collects analyzes and interprets customer, market and segment data into useful Voice-of-Customer (V.O.C.) information.
  • In conjunction with Marketing, to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and predict future market conditions and potential.
  • Analyzes competitive strategies and tactics and works with Marketing to devise division strategies.
  • Obtains customer/prospect feedback on effectiveness of marketing efforts and use of part and service products.
  • Works closely with Marketing to direct research to remain current on industry developments.
  • Manage and coordinate staff resource assignments for multiple projects.
  • Manage administrative details, including preparing budgets and status reports, instructing staff on policies/procedures.
Qualifications
  • Minimum undergraduate degree in marketing or a closely related field, or post-graduate qualification in marketing.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a career that includes experience in Public Relations and Internet Marketing as well as traditional print marketing, branding, and partner liaison, preferably in a Consulting, Computing, other Service-oriented, High-Tech, or Advertising environment.
  • Qualifications and expertise in graphic and creative design, web design, journalism and/or public speaking.
  • Proven record and thorough knowledge of all aspects of corporate marketing including internet and digital strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in assimilating corporate vision, architecting strategy and translating it into effective print, digital and other effective marketing campaigns.
  • Able to construct and deliver to an effective marketing plan and to manage the associated budget.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with appropriate software tools.
  • Initiative-taker with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership ability.
