JOB DESCRIPTION
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to play a critical role in their DoD business. The ideal candidate must have the minimum experience of working with U.F.C. building codes, a strong understanding of mechanical design for Federal buildings, and be proficient in Revit. This person will be responsible for creating detailed Revit models of mechanical systems in accordance with UFC codes (plumbing can also be included based on experience). This engineer will also create construction documents, perform calculations, select equipment and layout, collaborate with teams throughout the QA/QC process, develop flow diagrams, and provide Lifecycle Cost Analysis on projects.
This person will have hybrid schedule determined by their proximity to one of the above locations. The travel requirement is usually around 10%.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Federal/DoD projects involving U.F.C. building codes
- Professional Engineering license
o EIT could be accepted if candidate only had DoD building experience
- Heavy experience in Mechanical/HVAC design, creating Revit models, developing CD’s, and compliance with industry standards.
- Must have excellent proficiency in Revit
- Strong experience with renovations and retrofit work
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Multi-state PE licensure
- Plumbing/Sprinkler experience
- LEED AP building exp
Compensation for this position is $100K-$170K per year annually. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
