About the Role

The Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist is a vital role in supporting patients throughout their fertility journey. We are seeking compassionate, detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist, you will assist with procedures, provide education, and support the multidisciplinary team, ensuring every patient receives exceptional care at every step of their path to parenthood.

We are seeking a Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to join our dedicated team at Oregon Reproductive Medicine , serving both our Southside and Downtown Portland, OR locations. This is a full-time, onsite role , with scheduled hours of either Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM , depending on the assigned location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check-in patients, verify medical history, and update their information.
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Perform diagnostic tasks such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, and administering injections.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure equipment and supplies are stocked and ready.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, including follow-ups and referrals.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medication protocols, and preventive care measures.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety standards to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Assist with inventory management and clinical supply ordering.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Perform other duties and support special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
  • Phlebotomy certification required.
  • Maintain current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Fertility or women's health experience is a plus.
  • Skills :
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to empathize with patients
  • Flexibility:
  • Must be flexible and available to travel to other satellite clinic locations and provide coverage on holidays as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $25.00-$28.00 per hour (final offers based on experience, skills, and qualifications).
