About this role  

The Spa Manager is an in person, full time role who will work closely with and report to the Owners and Medical Director. They are responsible for the overall operation and performance of the spa; including ensuring that the spa meets or exceeds Guest service and sales expectations for the various services and treatments offered. The Spa Manager is responsible for developing an inspiring team and work environment, meeting all financial objectives for the spa, meeting monthly spa revenue projections as it relates to retail sales, service and treatment sales, and ensuring that expenses are maintained within the budget provided. 

What you’ll do  

  • Collaborate closely with the team to deliver an exceptional Guest experience and maintain high Member satisfaction. Addressing any complaints or concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere
  • Manage the daily activities of the staff including Nurse Practitioner/Physician’s Assistants, Nurses, Estheticians, Spa Therapist and Spa Receptionist 
  • Create a staffing schedule that ensures all hours of operation are covered with the necessary team members to deliver services efficiently and effectively 
  • Fulfill non-specialized roles when employees are absent 
  • Conduct performance evaluations for spa staff, providing feedback, and offering opportunities for professional development and growth. 
  • Develop a cadence for staff meetings and training to support the team in best practices 
  • Create, maintain and oversee a marketable and profitable Spa business while meeting/exceeding financial goals through lead revenue generation and enhancements, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-effective strategies to maximize revenue and profitability 
  • Train and onboard new and current employees on the most up to date services and treatments offered. Ensure they are knowledgeable, skilled, and able to deliver exceptional service 
  • Perform responsibilities associated with payroll
  • Oversee spa supplies, products, and equipment, and ensure an adequate inventory is maintained for smooth operations. 
  • Program marketing strategies and campaigns to attract new Membersand retain existing ones. This may involve online and offline marketing, promotions, and special events. 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including employment laws and health codes 
  • Keep abreast of trends in the spa and wellness industry, including new treatments, products, and customer preferences 
  • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the spa facility, ensuring it is well-maintained and meets the highest standards.
  • Ensure that the spa complies with all health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness, and providing a safe environment for both clients and staff. 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors 
  • Performs other duties and tasks as needed 

What we’re looking for  

  • Leadership/Management experience or equivalent education experience required 
  • Sales and Customer Service experience highly preferred 
  • Cosmetology or other spa-related knowledge is nice to have and/or desire to learn more in the medical aesthetics space 
  • Ability to be adaptive and flexible, embracing change while remaining highly organized 
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize using a continuous improvement mindset 
  • Excellent communication skills while possessing excellent conflict management skills 
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills, an “accountability first” mindset

  • Analytics and problem-solving skills; Highly collaborative and flexible 
  • Ability to learn and become comfortable consulting patients regarding cosmetic and non cosmetic treatment options, techniques and treatment plans

  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time 
  • Ability to work evenings and Saturdays 

Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including an evaluation of candidate’s skills, experience, and market demands. 

Salary is just one component of the total package. All regular employees are also eligible for our spa’s bonus program or a sales incentive. Our benefits and perks include, but are not limited to:
