Job Description

Position Purpose

This role is responsible for representing the company within the designated territory or assigned accounts. The individual will develop and execute a proactive prospecting strategy and consistently report progress to the Senior Vice President of Bus. Key responsibilities include driving both new business and sales growth within the assigned area, with a strong focus on customer engagement, relationship-building, and achieving sales objectives. A results-driven approach is essential for success in this role.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build, develop, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients, becoming their trusted advisor for bus transportation solutions.
  • Identify and qualify sales opportunities through strategic prospecting, referrals, and direct marketing initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth consultations to understand customers’ needs and recommend the most suitable bus models and configurations.
  • Close sales deal effectively and ensure timely delivery of buses to customers.
  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations and provide detailed explanations of features, benefits, and technical specifications.
  • Present competitive proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales to achieve or exceed established sales targets.
  • Provide after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns.
  • Prepare regular sales and forecast to track performance against targets.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and training sessions to continually enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of sales activities, pipeline opportunities, and customer interactions using CRM tools.
  • Provide ongoing customer support to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and foster repeat business.
  • The position requires frequent travel within the designated region, with a high volume of day trips, but no overnight stays are necessary.

  • Must be regular and predictable in attendance.
  • Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers and supervisors.

  • Must have the ability to consistently meet production and time deadlines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in sales, with experience in the bus industry strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial bus features, specifications, and applications, or a willingness to learn quickly.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a consultative approach to sales.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • A passion for building lasting customer relationships and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Self-driven and goal-oriented, with a strong desire to achieve results.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • You must obtain a Commercial Driver’s License and passenger endorsement within 90 days.
