Job Description

This position manages daily office operations and provides administrative support to the Principals and office staff.

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is seeking an Office Manager for our Abingdon, MD office. This position requires a confident, highly organized self-starter who is comfortable with technology and can manage a variety of responsibilities. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Effective management of day-to-day administrative operations.
  • Assist with preparation of professional correspondence and reports.
  • Collaborate with corporate accounting/marketing departments in Maryland (travel not required).
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Organize company and/or office events and meetings.
  • Maintain and order office and field supplies.
  • Coordinate office cleaning and maintenance with outside services.
  • Answer multi-line phone calls, greet clients and visitors.
  • Assist staff with expense reports.
  • Maintain conference rooms, lobby, and kitchen areas.
  • Oversee and coordinate company vehicle use.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in a professional office setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Proficient with current office software and equipment including MS Word and Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, postage machine, printers, etc.
  • Dependable, consistent attendance is vital to this position.
Hourly Rate: $20 – $25 per hour.
